Stacey's Fishing Club

Additional Covid Pleasure Fishing Rules

Anyone displaying symptoms of Covid-19 or sharing a household with someone with those symptoms must not fish Stacey's Lakes.

These additional rules came into effect on Saturday 27th June 2020 and will remain until further notice.

1. All Members shall open the fishery gates by using the code found on the inside of your permit, and to subsequently close and lock the gates behind them.
2. Fishing hours will now be as per the permit, that is dawn to dusk.
3. When parking, anglers are expected to leave suitable space (a minimum of 2 metres) in between cars.
4. Anglers must arrive alone unless they are travelling with someone who they can prove resides at the same address. Anglers must only fish alone at their swim unless they are fishing with another member who resides at the same address.
5. Anglers can now fish any of the permanent swims as long as they are at least 2 metres away from another angler.
6. When walking to or from their swim, every angler must, wherever possible, take care to maintain the 2 metre social distance from other anglers fishing the lake. Whilst talking to other anglers is permitted, please always remain at least 2 metres away, and please minimise unnecessary movement around the lake.
7. Anglers must not share any items of tackle or bait whilst on the fishery, or help any other member unless it is another member who resides at the same address.
8. Guest tickets are now available.
9. All anglers must carry their Environment Agency Coarse Licence and Stacey's Fishing Club permit at all times. Bailiffs will maintain a 2 metre distance, and not physically handle members' permits. Instead they will request sight of the permit and membership number.
10. Be aware that the club may reserve one swim on each fishery to aid bailiffs in managing compliance and maintaining an on-site presence.
11. Keepnets are still banned on all venues at this time, except during official matches.

CLEANLINESS *** Protect Yourself ***
1. All anglers are encouraged to bring and use disposable gloves and anti-bacterial hand sanitiser for use when coming into contact with any surfaces that other anglers may have touched, for example gates and locks.
2. As the cleanliness of the toilet facilities can't be regularly monitored, if you decide to use them please wipe all surfaces before and after use.
3. Anglers must take all litter home, and please don't throw unused bait in the lake at the end of your fishing session.

RULE BREAKING *** Protect our club and your fishing ***
1. Anglers not adhering to these rules will be reported to Keith Brown who will investigate, and if proven guilty it will result in the offending Club being banned from Stacey's Lakes.
2. You must have your 2020/21 permit with you at all times. Don't try to fish without it as the bailiffs will ask you to leave the venue and will report you to Keith Brown.
3. Any of the above rules are subject to change in accordance with the latest Government instructions, or if Keith finds a review is necessary to resolve any safety issues.

Please help our club to keep our venues open by abiding by these mandatory rules, which are driven by Government guidance for all our safety. As always, my primary aim is to keep our members and visitors safe, so please adhere to these rules.

Keith Brown, Club Secretary.
